It’s not sport, but on the occasion of the death of Peddlers’ maestro Roy Phillips felt it was worth posting this story written for the Evening Post in January 1998 about Roy’s life in New Zealand and his thoughts on the music scene of the day. His music will be his legacy. (Apologies for the paper folds, it’s been sitting in a scrapbook for a long time, and yes, the song Earth, should be Birth!).
