NZ faces challenge at Paris Olympics
Keep your perspective New Zealanders – it will be tough going at the Paris Olympic Games
.
The stupendous effort of seven golds, six silvers and seven bronze medals at Tokyo in 2021 are not about to be repeated, and will be close to halved.
Sports Illustrated's quadrennial predictions for medal winners in Paris are out, and they make average reading for New Zealand prospects.
They are only a guide however, and they've already got their prediction for the men's sevens wrong where they placed New Zealand second. That ain't possible now after they lost in the quarterfinals to South Africa.
But if Sports Illustrated is to be believed this is how it looks for Kiwi hopes.
